2014 Cactus Bowl Preview

Washington (7-5, Pac-12) vs Oklahoma State (6-6, Big 12)

Date: Friday, January 2, 2015
Time: 10:15 p.m. (EST)
Television: ESPN

Mike Gundy's men fished their season from the dumpster fire with a win in Bedlam against Oklahoma. The bowl berth gives the Pokes an extra month of practice and a head start on the 2015 season – meaning an opportunity for OSU to bury an otherwise forgetful 2014. Just a few years back the Cowboys went out to the desert for a BCS win. The Cactus Bowl isn't exactly the Fiesta Bowl, but sometimes a bowl game is a bowl game, is a bowl game.

QB Mason Rudolph could be poised to have a breakout game for OSU, and he'll need one if the Pokes are to win. Bedlam hero Tyreek Hill is no longer with the team and the Cowboys have been turnover prone this season while Washington is one of the better teams in the nation in turnover margin. Husky fans and alums are more likely to travel to the desert than are the folks from Stillwater.

The Law would have loved the Pokes chances if Hill were still on the team.

#RuleOfLaw: Washington 34 - Oklahoma State 21
