One of the more consistent participants in college basketball's postseason is a team many would not think of at first, the Monarchs of Old Dominion. The CAA members have played in the NCAA, NIT, CBI or CIT Tournaments in six of the past seven years and 22 times from 1977 through the 2011 NCAA Tournament.

  • Lost to Wake Forest in first round, 74-57

1985 NCAA Tournament

  • Lost to Southern Methodist in first round, 85-68

1986 NCAA Tournament

  • Defeated West Virginia in first round, 72-64
  • Lost to Duke in second round, 89-61

1992 NCAA Tournament

  • Lost to Kentucky in first round, 88-69

1995 NCAA Tournament

  • Defeated Villanova in first round, 89-81
  • Lost to Tulsa in second round, 64-52

1997 NCAA Tournament

  • Lost to New Mexico in first round, 59-55

2005 NCAA Tournament

  • Lost to Michigan State in first round, 89-81

2007 NCAA Tournament

  • Lost to Butler in first round, 57-46

2010 NCAA Tournament

  • Defeated Notre Dame in first round, 51-50
  • Lost to Baylor in second round, 76-68

2011 NCAA Tournament

  • Lost to Butler in first round, 60-58
