The North Carolina Tar Heels are one of the top college basketball teams in the history of the sport having won 5 NCAA Tournament Championships. Playing in the always tough ACC, the UNC Tar Heels have one of the top winning percentages in Division I college basketball history and became the 2nd basketball program in history to reach 2,000 wins when they did so in 2010. UNC has appeared in the NCAA Tournament Championship Game 9 times and the Final Four a record 18 times and has been a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament a record 13 times.
