North Carolina State Wolfpack NCAA Tournament History & Scores

North Carolina State Wolfpack All-Time NCAA Tournament Record: 37-25

The NC State Wolfpack have made the most of their NCAA Tournament opportunities making the Final Four three times and winning the NCAA Tournament Championship in 1974 and 1983. At their peak, North Carolina State had a run of 8 NCAA Tournament appearances in head coach Jim Valvano's 11 years in charge of the Wolfpack including that 1983 championship. Members of the ACC since 1953, Herb Sendek brought consistency to NC State basketball for a decade but fans seemed unhappy with his team's style. Since Sendek's departure for Arizona State, the Wolfpack struggled to play above .500 basketball until their return to prominence in 2012.
