College Basketball Invitational (CBI) Tournament - 2011 CBI Tournament

2011 marks the 4th annual College Basketball Invitational (CBI) Tournament featuring another 16 deserving teams who do not get the opportunity to play in the NCAA or NIT Tournaments. As a result of the addition of the CBI Tournament, CIT Tournament and the recent NCAA & CIT Tournament expansion, 140 Division I basketball teams will continue their seasons after the conclusion of conference tournament games and get a chance to play in the postseason. In 2008 the Tulsa Golden Hurricane knocked off the Bradley Braves in the unique CBI Championship Series, a three-game series between the final two teams to determine the CBI Championship. The 2009 CBI saw Oregon State top UTEP two games to one and 2010 saw VCU top St. Louis on HDNet.
