UCLA Bruins basketball notes:
Despite all the injuries, the Bruins have pulled together a great season. It is not just the offense of the youngsters that makes UCLA good, it is their defense that gives up just 60 points per game. The emergence of freshman Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (it’s even more fun to say than it is to spell) has provided a boost to the frontcourt, averaging over eight points and rebounds per contest. The injuries are a concern, yet that has forced a deep and experienced bench. Freshmen Darren Collison, Alfred Aboya, Michael Roll and Ryan Wright may not have been expected to see minutes in March, but they have some experience filling in for injured players throughout the campaign.
Likely 2006 NCAA Tournament finish: Sweet 16
