Seton Hall Pirates basketball notes:
The Pirates have had some impressive wins over the likes of N.C. State and Pitt, but there are also some bad losses. Jamar Nutter and Donald Copeland can hit the long ball and Kelly Whitney can hold his own under the basket against anybody, but it pretty much ends there. The important thing for Seton Hall is finding another scoring threat or two. Players like Brian Laing, Stan Gaines and Marcus Cousin are roleplayers and need to be more consistent. Grant Billmeier may not have big numbers, but the 6-10, 250 pound center provides a much needed big body under the basket. Watch out for freshman Paul Gause. He’s extremely talented and could have a coming out party on college basketball’s biggest stage.
