Alabama Crimson Tide basketball notes:
There aren’t really too many positives for Alabama to do much better in the NCAAs than they did last year. The rebounding numbers are solid, but that’s what happens when the Tide have to play four forwards much of the game. It’s tough to get inside with Jermareo Davidson and Richard Hendrix under the basket. Those two are a couple of the premier shot blockers in the SEC. There is an inept amount of depth, due to injuries and defections; however, it’s not that big of a problem for Mark Gottfried since his squad is rarely in foul trouble. With a day between games and longer timeouts, the Tide should be able to manage to keep the tank above empty. Sophomore point guard Ronald Steele is a tremendous talent, but without the injured Chuck Davis, there isn’t enough experience to pick Bama to make a run.
