Illinois Fighting Illini Football Bowl History

The Illinois Fighting Illini joined the Big Ten Conference in 1896 and through the 2010 bowl season have appeared in 16 bowl games in program history. The Illini played in five bowl games in the BCS era from 1998 through 2013 with two of those games being BCS Bowl games; the 2001 Sugar Bowl and the 2007 Rose Bowl. In program history, Illinois has appeared in five Rose Bowls which is the most frequent bowl game for the football program.
