UCLA Basketball 10-year Review

College Sports Fans reviews the UCLA Bruins, one of the NCAA’s top basketball programs

UCLA Basketball

When it comes to college basketball you can’t find a more dominant program historically than UCLA. Under the guidance of legendary coach John Wooden the Bruins had a stranglehold on the NCAA during the 1960’s and 1970’s, winning 10 national titles from 1964 to 1975. Since that time, UCLA has continued to be a force in the polls, winning another title in 1995, and more recently having been to back-to-back Final Fours in the last two seasons.

UCLA Basketball Future Outlook

The future is certainly bright for the Bruins. All-American Arron Aflalo may be leaving for the NBA, but talented point guard Darren Collison will be back directing traffic on the floor. Joining the team in the fall will be Kevin Love, arguably the top recruit in the nation, and talented forward Chace Stanback. Even further down the road, UCLA has already gotten verbal commitments from two of the nations top 5 point guards from the class of 2008 according to Scout.com.
