Michigan Wolverines Basketball 10-year ReviewCollege Sports Fans reviews the University of Michigan, one of the NCAA’s top athletic programs
Michigan BasketballThe years following the glory days of the Fab Five have not been kind to Michigan basketball. The Wolverines had their games from the 1996-97 season to the 1998-99 season vacated by the NCAA as a result of violations that occurred during the early 90’s. Even after the vacated seasons Michigan has not returned to its winning ways. Since 1999 the Wolverines have been in the upper half of the Big Ten only twice and have had double digit losses every year.

Michigan Basketball Future OutlookMichigan had a promising 2006-07 season, winning 21 games and finishing at .500 in Big Ten play. Unfortunately for the Wolverines they graduate their top four scorers and top two rebounders. Corperryale Harris, the nation’s #12 shooting guard according to Scout.com, will be arriving for next season, but top recruit Alex Legion decided to back out of his letter of intent after John Beilein became the new coach just a couple of weeks ago.
