Indiana Hoosiers Basketball 10-year Review
College Sports Fans reviews the Indiana Hoosiers, one of the NCAAís top athletic programs
Indiana Hoosiers Basketball
There is no Big Ten program with a more illustrious history in basketball than Indiana. Under the guise of legendary coach Bob Knight, the Hoosiers spent the better part of three decades at or near the top of the hoops world. The last decade however has been a mix of highs and lows for Indiana. The last few seasons of Knight’s tenure with the program were business as usual, four 20-win seasons. Mike Davis, who took over the program in 2000 had similar success initially, including an appearance in the national championship game in 2002. Davis was gone after the 2006 season though after three straight years of mediocrity. Current head coach Kelvin Sampson saw success in his first season, winning 20 games and finishing third in a tough Big Ten Conference.

Indiana Hoosiers Basketball Future Outlook
It looks like Indiana basketball is truly back. The Hoosiers are getting plenty of press coming into this season with the return of senior big man D.J. White, and the arrival of one of the nationís best prospects in Eric Gordon. White and Gordon are talented enough to lead Indiana to a Big Ten title and deep into March. Next seasonís recruiting class features two members of the Rivals 150, including 13th ranked Devin Ebanks the nationís second best small forward. Ebanks is a very smooth, skilled player, and will make a fantastic running mate with Gordon if he doesnít leave for the NBA after his freshman season.
